Andrew Setterfield

Andy Setterfield joined Serenity after meeting Tina at one of her Financial Life Planning Workshops in 2010, saying of his decision to join, “Tina is very genuine and the team are close knit with goals and passions that match my own.” Andy believes Financial Life Planning to be a one in a million concept that completely matches his own style of financial planning.

Andy started his first career at 19, as a Radar Avionics Technician in the Royal Air Force.  On completing his term of Service,  Andy was offered many more traditional jobs, but instead decided to follow his personal passion and train to become a financial planner, qualifying in 1986.

Andy’s goal for his clients is that they can build a future and effect changes that will give them what they want out of life and to help his clients create something completely new out of what was already there.  He also loves to help people save money on their tax bill!

For the last seven years Andy has also been the very much hands on co-owner of a successful country pub in South Kent.  He uses the experience and skills developed there to help business owners and entrepreneurs face challenges and achieve success.

“My job is so exciting because I never know what is coming next, but I do know that I’ve got the skills to deal with whatever it is.”

In his ‘spare’ time Andy enjoys golf, good food, reading, technology & Dog Walking.  Andy is married with two (almost) grown up children of 18 and 20.

Andy is a member of the following professional organisations:

  • Personal Financial Society
  • Chartered Insurance Institute

Andy holds the following qualifications:

  • TEC in Radar Avionics
  • Certificate in Financial Planning (CertPFS)

Andy is currently studying for his Diploma in Financial Planning and hopes to achieve Chartered status as soon as possible.

He also hopes to become a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and a Registered Life Planner (RLP) in the near future.
